Skyline Homes is continually working to decrease the environmental impact of homebuilding and home owning by searching for better construction methods and energy-efficient materials.

As a result, Skyline continues to discover ways to improve their production processes through sustainable practices such as recycling and reducing material waste and by finding ways to reduce the energy used to build a home. They carefully choose home building materials to ensure that adhesives, paints, caulks, sealants and other materials are water-based, low VOC and environmentally sound in every way possible. And by constructing a well-insulated, energy-efficient home that meets ENERGY STAR® guidelines, they’re helping homeowners continue down the path of responsible conservation. As customers reduce their own carbon footprint, they’re also able to enjoy the benefits of lower energy bills far into the future.
Skyline Is An ENERGY STAR Partner

Energy experts indicate that an ENERGY STAR home can save 20 to 30 percent on your energy bills over conventional construction.


Skyline homes are built to maximize energy efficiency, and their standard homes meet or exceed the requirements of the industry-governing agencies for energy efficiency.


As an ENERGY STAR Partner, Skyline's homes must meet guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are at least 15 percent more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC), and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20 to 30 percent more efficient than most standard homes. 


Skyline achieves this by using the following:

 

  • Top-Grade insulation
  • Extensive caulking and tight construction to eliminate unwanted drafts
  • High-performance windows and doors
  • Use of UL and ENERGY STAR approved materials, including low-escape air ducts

 

Additional upgrades are available to meet the more rigorous EPA energy standards of a Qualified ENERGY STAR home, including the following:

 

  • An increased amount of insulation
  • Super high efficient furnace
  • Programmable thermostat

One Plus Six Limited Warranty

Mayo Homes Company continually strives to provide the very best quality products with the highest value to consumers. We are proud to inform you that our homes come with the Assurant Plus 6-year limited warranty. All new homes purchased through Mayo Homes Company will include this warranty.


The Assurant Plus 6-year limited warranty includes covered components including major structural items, electrical, plumbing, AC and furnace, and all appliances. There is no limit to the number of repairs. Homeowners need only pay a $100 deductible for each claim. Also, if you sell your home, the Plus 6-year limited warranty is transferable.


The warranty period begins on the date you take possession of your new home. Misuse, unauthorized repairs or alterations, minor imperfections, and dealer or owner improper transportation or setup are excluded.
